Name: Li'l (short for little, or little mother), Gardevoir
Species: Gardevoir
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Height: 4'07"
Weight: 70 pounds
Date of Birth: December 16th, 1992
Distinguishing Markings: She is shiny and a lot smaller then normal gardevoirs. Sometimes she can be seen with a flower tucked over her right ear.
Appearance:
Location: Mirror Lake
Level: 40
RP Sample: She watched the little ones play in the short grass, mock fighting each other. They grow up so fast she thought as a tear sprung to her eyes as her youngest tottered over to her. Her eyes followed him as he attempted to walk over to her. He didn't make it and lost balance, falling, the soft grass cushioning his little misstep. Li'l rose, and took a few strides and bent down to her knees ready to pick the little Ralts up and dust him off. She had found the egg hidden under the tree only a month ago and hatched it, he was special to her in a way that even she didn't understand. Her young one didn't take her hand, but pushed himself up out of his own stubbornness and began his journey again. It didn't take long as Li'l was already right there and he climbed into her arms.
It was then that her eldest one, a starly that had been wrestling with another one of her own, gave a sharp cry, screeching that he had seen humans approaching. She sent a mental command out to all of her children, calling them to hide if they saw these humans and if not to run to their home. She put down her youngest, the ralts, and walked toward the entrance to the lake, hoping to head off these intruders on their warm day.
It was not long before she had found them, it was a young scruffy human boy in bright blue and yellow holding his pokeball to his forehead scanning the lake clearing. It was also not long before he saw Li'l almost dropping his pokeball in surprise as his fingers stumbled around his belt looking for another pokeball. She knew that this boy was a new trainer or else he would have thrown the pokeball without hesitation at her. It was his second mistake. His first mistake was hoping to catch his first pokemon at the lake. She couldn't stand trainers, especially those that were planning or trying to take away her little charges. Before the boy could send out his caught pokemon, she sent out a strong psychic wave catching the boy and lifting him into the air. Li'l wasn't cruel, she just wanted to make her point, and threw him gently backward. The boy had obviously gotten her point, but how could he not when she sent her thoughts to him...
"Leave before you get hurt.. and if I were you don't think about coming back"
History: Li'l was hatched in the swampy marsh in the stretch of land. She was raised by the large widespread family of older Ralts and Kirlias that lived there. They were her family... though not a very good one for they were always looking for a bit of fun. The rules of the family was simple, care for each other, but run as fast as you could away as soon as there was a hint of danger. Li'l was never very good at the running part as she didn't have the longer legs of the other Ralts and Kirlias, she was shorter then them. Her shortness posed a problem for her as she was always left behind in case of danger. Not to mention getting stuck in the bogs... she had to literally swim her way through the murk to get to the other side as her feet didn't touch the bottom. She couldn't teleport across the bog because the distance was too far for her to teleport completely across meaning that she always wound up taking a dip in the muck anyway...
Life would be bearable for Li'l if there wasn't any croagunks that lived nearby... unfortunately there were tons upon tons of them living in the marshy route. Croagunks for the most part were mean and mischievous. They liked to battle and defeat any that came near them. This wasn't true of all of them, some of them liked to stare up at the sky as it rained. The kirlias could sense them coming for a battle and would scream out a mental warning to the rest of the family to get a move on. Li'l could never seem to move fast enough to get out of the croagunk's way. She would always get left behind and she would always get pounced on by a group of croagunks. Li'l learned very early in life how to hide.
As a years flew by little changed with Li'l, she was still short and she still was left behind and pounced on. Li'l gave up trying to run, and instead opted to try and hide herself in the bushes and in the murk. This sometimes worked, but most of the time it didn't and she would wind up being beaten again and again. One day however, Li'l found a flower. It was beautiful, and she hadn't seen one before because the constant rain usually rotted the roots away before flowers had the chance to bloom. She put it behind her right ear with a little smile and a dance. Her little happy dance was interrupted by one of the kirlia's cry. The croagunk had come again... Li'l tried to run, tried to hide in the muck, but she didn't make it. Before they decided to pummel her, the croagunk took away her flower.. something inside Li'l snapped. She sent out a a weak telekinetic force wave at the croagunk in her anger lifting them into the air and smashing them back into the ground. She realized that she didn't have to take the punishment doled out to her, she could fight back! She sent out more weak waves, and caused the croagunk to faint. It was after this battle that Li'l evolved into a Kirlia, as she was realized that she could defend herself.
A few more years flew by, Li'l found herself actively seeking out the croagunk to battle... It wasn't that she enjoyed battling, but she felt compelled to teach them a lesson, to stop them from bullying the other poke'mon that inhabited the forest. She grew stronger everyday, but one day she met her match. Li'l had attracted the attention of the Toxicroak, perhaps the most cruel out of all the pokemon in the marshy route. It was night, and Li'l slept alone after having an altercation with one of the older Kirlia over her recent activities. She had been warned to stop her hunt, as she would only bring pain on herself and the others. Li'l didn't head the warning... and woke up to a hulking figure about to jab her with its flowing finger tips. She tried to fight back, but at every attempt she was thrown and punched. Li'l realized that she had met her match. It was then that she evolved into Gardevoir... she was stricken with fear and began to run and teleport towards the beginning of the forest. The swamp was enclosed by a deep thick forest and Li'l managed to loose her attacker in it, but she also lost all sense of direction. She began to wander through it, unable to see the sun. For days she wandered through it until she reached a lake.
This lake was Mirror lake. She reached the lake and out of exhaustion she fell asleep at the edge of the water. When Li'l woke up she found that small pokemon had nestled up to her in her sleep. They were only babies and they were so sweet looking. Looking at them, she had decided to take care of them... for if they had to nestle up to her, then they weren't looked after. For the next few years she took care of them, feed them, taught them, watched over them. Li'l protected them from trainers and battle loving wild poke'mon alike... she became a mother.
Personality: Li'l doesn't love to fight, but will if she feels that either herself or her charges are in danger. If possible she would rather run or hide, then battle. She is kind and loving, though has the tendency to carry grudges and she has a long memory. She is for the most part calm, but she only has so much patience and sometimes lashes out in anger. Li'l can recover her composure very quickly. She is also very good at managing her attention and is rarely surprise by anything anymore... it comes from being a mother. She also like sweet fruit, though she isn't picky about what she eats except if its spicy as she hates anything midly spicy.
Strengths: She is resilient against psychic and fighting and strong offensively against poison and fighting types. Li'l has the tendency to use the environment to her advantage and is rarely put off guard by anything. She is immune to most ground moves due to her ability.
Weaknesses: She is weak offensively against steel, psychic, and dark types. Dark, ghost, and bug types all are effective against her. She isn't physically strong and can't take much of a hit. Li'l is also a little slow due to the fact that she has shorter legs and cannot move as fast without the help of teleport.
Ability: Levitate - Gives full immunity to all Ground-type moves and is not affect by the ability called Arena trap.
The is an unmatched ability and cannot be found on gardevoir in the game... however in the emerald description "It apparently does not feel the pull of gravity because it supports itself with psychic power." it can float. Also this levitation is apparent in it's sprite
Attacks/Moves:
Name: Psychic
Type: Psychic - Special attack (STAB)
Effect: The foe is hit by a strong telekinetic force. It may also reduce the foe's Sp. Def stat. Can be used to manipulate the surroundings. When used on an object it creates a bluish aura around said object. This move can only be used on an opponent that is 5 levels or lower then the user. Otherwise the attack affects the environment
Name: Healing wish
Type: Psychic - non damaging
Effect: The user faints. In return, the Pokémon taking its place will have its HP fully restored and status cured. This move is only useful when the user in question is caught.
Name: Teleport
Type: Psychic - non damaging
Effect: Can be used to flee from any danger. It may also be used to warp to the last Poké Center visited or from wild poke'mon if the user is a caught poke'mon. It transports the user a short distance away. Useable outside of battle. The move will fail if the user is under the effects of wrap or whirlpool. It may also fail if the user is in a tight grip.
Name: Wish
Type:Normal - self healing
Effect: The user makes a wish on the stars. The next post if the user does not have full health, the wish comes true, healing the user in the process. this ability can heal medium damage such as large cuts and bruises. This move does not work if the user has full health and cannot revive the user. It only affects the user.
Name: Confusion
Type: Psychic - Special attack
Effect: The foe is hit by a weak telekinetic force. It may also leave the foe confused. This move is weaker then psychic and thus can only be used on pokemon 10 levels or greater under. When used on an object it creates a purple aura around it. Maybe used to manipulate small objects of the environment.
Name: Calm Mind
Type: Psychic - non damaging
Effect: The user quietly focuses its mind and calms its spirit allowing it to concentrate better. Psychic and confusion can be used on pokemon two levels greater then the original level restrictions. This move also slightly boosts the power of "special attacks".
Hold Item: Custap Berry
The flesh underneath the Custap Berry's tough skin is sweet and creamy soft. The outside skin however is super hard. In a pinch a poke'mon can eat this berry to get a burst of speed, allowing them to move first once in just a pinch.
